GALACTIC LEGACY: A STAR WARS D6 RPG STORY - EPISODE 1: THE BEGINNING(PART 9)

Jhok having seen people get shot, looked around for a bag they tend to grab when injured. Seeing one he went over and knocked it off its shelf with his staff. He took the Dug and motions for anyone near them to come over and fix her. He waved his arm making sure she was all the way in the ship and out of sight of where the shot came from. He opened the bag and pulled stuff out, hoping to be getting the stuff ready for whoever was going to fix her. He grabbed the things he’d seen used most when someone was injured in similar manners. He sat next to her, put his hands on her arm and attempted to try to feel her and help her heal.
Malcom looked at Mykar.
"Me and Johk might have a chance to run him down while you tend to Bulraba and fly behind us as overwatch. This mark is a pro with a hell of a lead that's only getting farther by the second. You're call boss."
"Forks," Mykar said to his faithful droid. "Make it happen. Then take care of the Dug."
Choe palmed a device into Malcom's left hand.
"You will need comms with the ship. It's directional and synced only to the Shady Lady's freq."
Malcom took off across the landing slip in a sprint in the direction of the sniper's last sighting with blasters raised.
"Nicely done," Choe said to the Ewok, impressed with him. "You need a weapon?"
Looking at the Ewok, he motioned for him to follow after Malcom and patted Jhok's shoulder reassuringly that everything was okay. Choe set his holdout blaster next to the Ewok and motioned for him to go. Jhok took the blaster; only knowing what was by watching other people. He then followed after Malcolm.
Bringing up the EMS supplies, Choe set them down beside Bulraba. He also set up his portable laptop. The screen came to life and a couple keystrokes later Choe was using voice inquiries and commands to figure out how to diagnose and treat the Dug.
"Mykar, if we are getting airborne, best do it now."
Choe began identifying the wound type and size. An automated voice replied back that on a Dug, normal procedures should apply. The voice proceeded to describe items to be used and in what order. Choe first found the Nynex. Taking a capsule from the packet, he slipped it into the female Dug's mouth and made sure that the capsule was sitting on the tongue dissolving; he didn't want the Dug to die choking. Next he took out the Dermaseal and applied it to the wound to sterilize and prevent infection. Following the step by step instructions, Choe was glad that he inventoried the ship's medical supplies into the Auto DOC program. Third he applied Coagulin and attempted to seal off any bleeders in the process. The fourth item suggested was Bacta GelTab, which he placed over the wound, but would be used last when he applies a StimPack. The last three items he applied in quick succession: Actibandage to actually seal the wound; opening the Dug's mouth once more, Choe checked to see that the Nynex tablet had dissolved; and then placed a Doze Tablet and closed her mouth once more. Once he was certain she was stable, Choe applied the StimPack and hoped that it did not accelerate healing to fast. Wiping the sweat from his forehead and cleaning the rest of the Dug's biofluids from his hands. Choe tried to recall if there was a stretcher on the Shady Lady.
"We will see if she pulls through," he said over the ship's comm. "Done what could be done. Blasted sniper tried for a follow up head shot. The irony of it all: he, she, or whatever it was, was using a hunting rifle."
Making sure once more that the Dug was in no further or immediate danger, Choe sat down and updated the logs in the AutoDOC program and rested his head against the bulkhead. From what the program indicated, the Dug would survive… at least if she didn’t suffer any further injury.
"Hey, Shady," Malcom said into his comlink. "You got anything on your scopes for me yet? I'm running blind down here. "

Mykar dashed to the cockpit, taking up a com.
"Forks, skids up. Tightbeam scan data to the grounders. Then sweep for energy sigs on that rifle!"
Over the com, Mykar heard Forks’ familiar warble.
Malcom ran through the alleys, between buildings and random clutter, keeping an eye on the roof tops for any sign of his prey or even a clue of his passing. Jhok kept up with Malcolm as best as he could, not looking at rooftops. He tried to sense for the shooter.
After a few moments of running through the streets of the busy city, it was obvious to the two pursuers which way their quarry was going. There were screams, and the sound of speeder warning devices. The robed figure ran at high speed through traffic, leaping acrobatically out of the way of oncoming vehicles. An open topped speeder truck full of construction debris nearly hit him, it came within a meter of striking him, then seemed to bounce away as he extended his palm toward it and shouted. The front of the truck crumpled as the vehicle bounced to the left and missed the figure by a hair's breadth.
Malcom and Johk were losing ground on the remarkably fast shooter. Malcom had seen speed like this before, but only from Force users. Johk had never seen a two legged creature move as fast, and he was exhilarated. He had the skills of a forest hunter, and they played well in this chase.
Just as Malcom and Johk lost sight of the shooter, bounding ten meters to the right, swinging off a sign attached to the side of a building, and down the side street, the Shady Lady rose above the docking bay walls. Forks had the sensors searching for the shooter's weapon, but didn't really need them. He could easily follow the trail of disrupted vehicles and running citizens.
The ship, under Mykar's direction, slowly followed the chaos. Forks brought the exterior video up on Mykar's cockpit screen, showing an image of the shooter just rounding the corner onto the side street. After touching down, he continued to run, but at a markedly slower rate. In mere seconds, Johk and Malcom turned the corner as well, and were only about half a block behind their prey. The Shady Lady was overhead. The figure ducked between two buildings into an alleyway.
Forks tweeted and bleeped uproariously, his dome spun. Mykar's video monitor switched from a close-up view of the running figure to a wider image of the alleyway. It was a blind alley! There was nowhere for him to escape, and the buildings surrounding it were each at least 30 meters tall. Mykar could see the figure slow from a full run to a stumbling walk. By the time the figure got halfway down the alley, it was hunched over in its robe. Mykar saw Malcom and Johk enter the alley, blasters at the ready. Sirens were wailing, and getting closer, approaching from three different directions.
